(4904) Makio is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 21 November 1989 by the Japanese astronomer Yoshikane Mizuno and Toshimasa Furuta at the observatory in Kani ( IAU code 403) in the Japanese prefecture of Gifu was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the Japanese astronomer Makio Akiyama (* 1950).
