(6338) Isaosato is an asteroid of the outer main belt , of October 26, 1992 by the Japanese amateur astronomers Kin EnDate and Kazuro Watanabe at Kitami Observatory ( IAU code 400) in the sub-prefecture Okhotsk in Hokkaido was discovered.
It was named after the Japanese astronomer Isao Satō (* 1963), who made the first photographic observation of a star being covered by an asteroid in 1991.
