(6539) Nohavica is an asteroid of the central main belt , which was discovered on August 19, 1982 by the Czech astronomer Zdeňka Vávrová at the Kle Observ observatory ( IAU code 046) near Český Krumlov .
The asteroid was named on December 8, 1998 after the Czech singer-songwriter Jaromír Nohavica (* 1953), who has been performing his own songs since 1982 and thus became one of the most popular performers on the Czech music scene.
