(9076) Shinsaku is an asteroid of the main belt , which on May 8, 1994 by Japanese astronomers Akimasa Nakamura at Kuma-Kōgen Observatory ( IAU code 360) Kumakogen in Ehime Prefecture was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the Japanese revolutionary and samurai Shinsaku Takasugi (1839-1867), who played an important role in the Meiji Restoration as the leader of the anti- shogunate troops .
