(9505) Lohengrin is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 29 September 1973 by the Dutch astronomer Cornelis Johannes van Houten , Ingrid van Houten-Groeneveld and Tom Gehrels at Palomar Observatory ( IAU code was discovered 675).
The asteroid was named on November 11, 2000 after Lohengrin , the title character in an opera by the German composer Richard Wagner .
