(99) Dike is a main belt asteroid discovered by French astronomer Alphonse Borrelly in Marseille on May 28, 1868 .

The celestial body was named after Dike , one of the three ears from Greek mythology .

There are various details about the period of rotation of the body, which belongs to the C class of asteroids. A study by E. Sharidan in 2009 showed a pediode of 10.360h. In 2011 F. Pilcher determined a period of 18.127h.
