Çüngüş ( Zaza Şankuş ) is a city in the district of the same name in the Turkish province of Diyarbakır and at the same time a district of the Büyükşehir belediyesi Diyarbakır (metropolitan municipality / metropolitan province ) created in 1993 . Çüngüş is located in the west of the province and borders the Malatya and Elazığ provinces . Çüngüş is the poorest of all 17 Ilçe in the metropolitan municipality, and the population density is also the lowest. According to the logo, the place was raised to the rank of Belediye in 1949 and was split off from the Çermik district together with some villages in 1953 .
