Çınarcık is a city and capital of the district of the same name ( İlçe ) in the Turkish province of Yalova . According to the seal, the city was raised to Belediye (municipality) in 1950 and is home to 53 percent of the district's population. It is located almost 15 kilometers by road west of the provincial capital on the coast and is divided into five mahalle (districts).

The district was formed in June 1995 from the Bucak of the same name from the then Yalova district of the Istanbul province . At the last census before the territorial reform (1990), the Bucak Çınarcık had a population of 17,290 inhabitants (= 15.24% of the then Yalova district), of which 769 were in the administrative center ( Bucak Merkezi ).

The district borders on the province of Bursa in the south . In addition to the four cities of Çınarcık , Esenköy (3,558), Koru (6,464) and Teşvikiye (2,780 inhabitants), there are also four villages ( Köy ) with an average of 763 inhabitants. Only the village of Kocadere has over a thousand inhabitants (1,327).
