Éder José de Oliveira Bonfim (born April 3, 1981 in Cuiabá , Mato Grosso ) is a Brazilian football player . The full-back has been without a club since summer 2013 .
Career
Éder Bonfim came to Europe in 2002 and initially played for Benfica Lisbon in the Portuguese SuperLiga . He came on only a few missions and joined in early 2003 Estrela Amadora , who played in the second-rate Liga de Honra at the time . He became a regular player and reached promotion to the SuperLiga with the club on the 2002/03 season .
At the new season he left the club and moved to Sporting Braga . With the northern Portuguese he played for the international places in the 2003/04 season , but missed qualifying for the UEFA Cup in fifth place . Éder Bonfim moved within the league to promoted Vitória Setúbal . He also became a regular here and was not only able to place himself in the secure midfield with his new club, but also won his first title with the 2005 cup .
Nevertheless, Éder Bonfim left the club and joined the ambitious league competitor União Leiria . After a seventh place in the 2005/06 season , he was able to repeat this result with the club in the following season and on top of that qualify for the UI Cup . After a win against Serbian representative FK Hajduk Kula, they made it into the UEFA Cup and were eliminated in the first round against Bayer 04 Leverkusen . In the domestic league Leiria could not confirm these successes and had to relegate to the Liga de Honra as bottom of the table.
After relegation, Éder Bonfim left Leiria and Portugal and found a new sporting home in Romania at the top club FC Timișoara . In the 2008/09 season he was initially unable to prevail and was loaned to the relegation-threatened league competitor Gloria Buzau during the winter break . Here, too, he was only used irregularly and was thus unable to ensure that he would remain in the class. He returned to Timisoara and was able to establish himself as a regular player in the 2009/10 season . At the end of the season he qualified for the Europa League .
Through his achievements, the Romanian record champion Steaua Bucharest became aware of Éder Bonfim and brought him to the capital in summer 2010. With Steaua he won the Romanian Cup in 2011 . In the summer he moved to FK Xəzər Lənkəran in Azerbaijan. He has been without a club since mid-2013.
