action

The Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Khalil Abdul-Muhsen proposes recognizing Israel and admitting it to OPEC . Arab terrorists decide to kill the politician and hire contract killer Nicole Scott.

Abdul-Muhsen meets Scott and falls in love with her. Scott returns his feelings, which prevents them from completing their assignment. Together they travel to some holiday resorts. In one of them they are attacked by a group of terrorists who kill some guards. The terrorists are defeated by Abdul-Muhsen, Scott and a surviving bodyguard.

At the end of the film, Abdul-Muhsen gives a speech in which he promotes the cooperation of the Arab countries with Israel and threatens opponents of this cooperation.

Reviews

John Parker wrote in his book Sean Connery • The Biography that the thriller was " boring " and " incoherent ". His director shows "in great detail the beauties of the locations around the world " and " obviously loses the thread ". Some contemporary reviews were " sometimes highly hostile, " but that was not Connery.

Roger Ebert described the plot in the Chicago Sun-Times of November 17, 1976 as " impenetrable ". Only a few scenes are effective, especially those with Sean Connery and Cornelia Sharpe.

The magazine TV direkt 18/2007 criticized the " weak " script and praised the " good " actors.

backgrounds

The film was shot in New York City , London , Bavaria and Morocco , among others . Due to its quality, it could not find a British distributor for a long time.
