With the Austrian University Conference, among others , the FHK is also part of the University Conference, which is supposed to advise the federal government on matters relating to the university plan.
tasks
In contrast to the classic universities, the universities of applied sciences maintain a more practical approach to teaching. This application-oriented focus gives the students clearer specifications for the curriculum, which means that a very high percentage of university students graduate in a minimum period of study. As a representative of the universities of applied sciences, the aim of the university conference is to improve the financial and legal framework conditions of the universities of applied sciences, to introduce uniform standards in the university sector and to carry out efficient public relations work for the universities of applied sciences.
