Austrian Society for Political Science

The Austrian Society for Political Science (ÖGPW) is a political science professional association founded in 1970 , which is organized as an association and has its headquarters in Vienna . It has around 500 members and is currently headed by Monika Mühlböck.

Tasks and activities

The Austrian Society for Political Science wants to promote political science work, internationalize the Austrian discipline and address the public. It sees itself as an interest group of its members (students, graduates, university professors and researchers) and participates in debates and reform processes.

To this end, it organizes, among other things, conferences, lectures and discussion events. The ÖGPW is also the publisher of the Austrian Journal for Political Science (ÖZP), which has been published since 1972 .

The association is a cooperation partner at Wahlkabine.at .
