Łukasz Goryl (born January 1, 1992 ) is a Polish natural track tobogganist . He has competed in the World Cup since 2009 and became the Polish single-seater champion in the same year .

Career

Łukasz Goryl started in 2007 at international junior championships in singles. He was able to improve from year to year and achieved a top 10 position for the first time with seventh place at the Junior World Championships 2010 in Deutschnofen . In 2011 he started at the European Junior Championships in Laas in addition to the single-seater competition, in which he was ninth, also in the doubles with Mirosław Sojka . They took fifth place out of seven rated two-seater pairs. At the Junior World Championship in 2012 , Goryl was sixth in the single seater.

In the national championships, Goryl achieved his greatest success so far in 2009 when he became the Polish single-seater champion. As early as 2008 - as in 2010 and 2011 - he took third place in the single-seater. In the doubles, he achieved third place with Mirosław Sojka in 2010 and second place at the Polish championships in 2011.

In the World Cup , Goryl first took part in two single-seater races at the beginning of the 2008/2009 season , which he finished in 23rd and 24th position. In the next winter he again took part in two single-seater World Cup races, in which he again placed in the midfield as 24th and 22nd. In the 2010/2011 season , Goryl only took part in one World Cup event in Casies , but in addition to the single-seater, he also started a two-seater World Cup race with Mirosław Sojka for the first time. In the single-seater he took 21st place out of 28 rated tobogganers and in the double-seater he was 12th among 13 double-seater pairs. Goryl only competed in one World Cup race in the 2011/2012 season : In Deutschnofen he finished 24th in the single-seater.
