Ɣ
The letter Ɣ (lower case ɣ) is a letter of the Latin writing system . It is based on the gamma of the Greek alphabet , with the difference that the capital letter is a larger version of the lower case letter. In the international phonetic alphabet , the letter represents the voiced velar fricative . The superscript minuscule is used to mark velarization . The letter is also used in African languages such as Ewe or the Berber language Kabyle for this sound.

The gamma is not present in the ISO 8859 encodings. Unicode contains the gamma at the code points U + 0194 (upper case), U + 0263 (lower case) and U + 02E0 (upper case lower case).
With LaTeX , the Latin gamma can be represented using the fc fonts (T4 coding). The corresponding command is \m Gfor the large gamma and \m gfor the small gamma.
