(100268) Rosenthal is an asteroid of the inner main belt that was discovered by the German astronomer Freimut Börngen on October 5, 1994 at the Thuringian State Observatory in Tautenburg ( IAU code 033).

The orbit of the asteroid was secured in 2005 so that numbering could be assigned. (100268) Rosenthal was named after the entertainer Hans Rosenthal (1925–1987) at the suggestion of Freimut Börngen . It was named on April 13, 2006.
