(100483) NAOJ is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 30 October 1996 by the Japanese astronomer Isao Satō , Hideo Fukushima and Naotaka Yamamoto at Mitaka Station ( IAU code 388) of the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan in Mitaka west of Tokyo has been discovered.

The asteroid was named on December 12, 2008 in memory of the twentieth anniversary of the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ).
