(10233) Le Creusot is an asteroid of the main belt discovered on December 5, 1997 by the French amateur astronomer Jean-Claude Merlin at the observatory in the commune of Le Creusot ( IAU code 504) in Burgundy (France).

The asteroid was named on March 2, 1999 after the hometown of the discoverer, the municipality of Le Creusot in the French region of Burgundy.
