(1026) Ingrid is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on August 13, 1923 by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth , who worked at the observatory on the Königstuhl near Heidelberg .
The asteroid is named after the niece of the German astronomer Albrecht Kahrstedt . The orbit has a semi-major axis of 2.2542 astronomical units and an orbital eccentricity of 0.1824. Thus it moves at a distance of 1.8430 ( perihelion ) to 2.6654 ( aphelion ) astronomical units in 3.38 years around the sun . The orbit is inclined at 5.4009 ° to the ecliptic .
