(13406) Sekora is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on October 2, 1999 by the Czech astronomer Lenka Šarounová at the Ondřejov observatory ( IAU code 557) on Mount Manda in Ondřejov in the Czech Republic.

The asteroid was on 9 January 2001 after the Czech writer , children's author , cartoonist , journalist and graphic artist Ondřej Sekora named (1899-1967), whose children's books and the occurring main characters as the Ant Ferda and its derived cartoons in the Czech Republic are well known.
