(187) Lamberta is an asteroid of the main asteroid belt discovered by Jérôme-Eugène Coggia on April 11, 1878 . The celestial body was named in honor of the mathematician and physicist Johann Heinrich Lambert .
Lamberta moves between 2.1 ( perihelion ) astronomical units to 3.4 astronomical units ( aphelion ) around the sun in 4.5 years . The orbit is inclined 10.6 ° to the ecliptic , the orbital eccentricity is 0.24. Lamberta has a diameter of 131 km. It has a dark carbonaceous surface with an albedo of 0.06. It rotates around its own axis in around 10.7 hours.
