(2219) Mannucci ( 1975 LU ; 1931 TJ 3 ; 1936 OK ; 1948 TM ; 1952 JC ; 1965 VE ; 1965 WX ; 1971 UM 3 ; 1974 HD ) is an asteroid of the outer main belt that appeared on June 13, 1975 at Felix Aguilar Observatory at El Leoncito National Park in the province of San Juan in Argentina ( IAU code was discovered 808).
designation
(2219) Mannucci was named after Edgardo Mannucci . Mannucci was a precision mechanic whose work at the Felix Aguilar Observatory benefited astronomy in Argentina for years. He played an important role in the construction of the passage instrument and the Danjon astrolab . He led the precision work in the Geodesy , Topography and Cartography department in San Juan . He was a member of the Faculty of Engineering at the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo and had previously worked as the assistant director of a project for the Argentine Naval Hydrographic Services .
