(2620) Santana is a asteroid of the main belt , which on 3 October 1980 by the Czech astronomer Zdeňka Vávrová at Kleť Observatory ( IAU code was discovered 046).
The asteroid is a member of the Koronis family, a group of asteroids named after (158) Koronis .
(2620) Santana was named after the Mexican rock musician and guitarist Carlos Santana (* 1947), who expanded the spectrum of rock music as the creator of Latin rock .
