(27712) Coudray is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on November 3, 1988 by the German astronomer Freimut Börngen at the Thuringian State Observatory Tautenburg ( IAU code 033) in Thuringia .

The asteroid was according to the German architects of Classical and Oberbaudirektor the Grand Duchy Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach Clemens Wenzeslaus Coudray named (1775-1845), which the city by his buildings Weimars significantly shaped.
