(30933) Grillparzer is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on October 17, 1993 by the German astronomer Freimut Börngen at the Thuringian state observatory in Tautenburg ( IAU code 033) in Thuringia .

The asteroid was named after the Austrian writer and playwright Franz Grillparzer (1791–1872), who is also known as the Austrian national poet because of the identity-creating use of his works, especially after 1945 .
