(3671) Dionysus is an asteroid from Amor type that on 27 May 1984 by Carolyn and Eugene Shoemaker at Mount Palomar was discovered.

The asteroid was named after the Greek god Dionysus .

There are indications that this is a system of two bodies rotating around their common center of gravity . The moon with the designation S / 1997 (3671) 1 has a diameter of 0.4 km and is located at an average distance of around 2.2 km from the larger celestial body.
