(4104) Aluminum is an asteroid of the main belt , which from the March 5, 1989 American US astronomer Eleanor Helin at Palomar Observatory ( IAU code was discovered 675).

The asteroid was named after the American musician, composer and amateur astronomer Jeff T. Alu , who worked on the Planet-Crossing Asteroid Survey of the Palomar Observatory and tracked down several earth orbit cruisers and main belt asteroids.
