(5744) Yorimasa is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 14 December 1990 by the Japanese astronomer Akira Natori and Takeshi Urata at the JCPM Yakiimo station ( IAU code 885) in Shimizu in Shizuoka Prefecture was discovered.

The asteroid was named after the Japanese army leader and poet of the late Heian period , Minamoto no Yorimasa (1106–1180).
