(5757) Tichá is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on May 6, 1967 by the Argentine astronomer Carlos Ulrrico Cesco and his American colleague Arnold R. Klemola at the Leoncito Astronomical Facility (Complejo Astronómico El Leoncito, CASLEO) ( IAU code 829 ) was discovered in El Leoncito National Park in Argentina.

The asteroid was named after the Czech astronomer Jana Tichá (* 1965), who holds an important position in astronomy as director of the Kleť observatory and chair of the Committee on Small Body Nomenclature (CSBN) of the International Astronomical Union .
