(6100) Kunitomoikkansai is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 9 November 1991 by Japanese astronomers Atsushi Sugie on Dynic Astronomical Observatory ( IAU code was discovered 402) in Japan.

It was named on December 8, 1998 after the Japanese armorer and inventor of the Edo period Kunitomo Ikkansai (1778–1840), who studied western technology in the course of Rangaku and in 1831 built a Gregory telescope whose 60x magnification allowed him to make detailed observations of sunspots and the topography of the moon.
