(6892) Lana is an asteroid of the main belt , which from the November 7, 1978 American US astronomer Eleanor Helin and scolding John bus at the Palomar Observatory ( IAU code 675) in California was discovered.

The asteroid was named on June 9, 2017 after the Italian Jesuit priest Francesco Lana Terzi (1631–1687), who wrote a draft for an airship as early as 1670 and developed the idea of Braille .
