(7638) Gladman is an asteroid of the main belt , the October 26, 1984 of US astronomers Edward LG Bowell at the Anderson Mesa Station ( IAU code 688) of the Lowell Observatory in Coconino County was discovered.

The asteroid was named on July 28, 1999 after Canadian astronomer and professor of astronomy Brett James Gladman .
