(9327) Duerbeck is an asteroid of the main belt . It was discovered on September 26, 1989 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at the La Silla Observatory ( IAU code 809) of the European Southern Observatory in Chile .
The asteroid was named on March 18, 2003 after the German astronomer Hilmar W. Duerbeck (1948–2012), who worked in the field of dwarf novae and was most recently involved in the processing of archival material at the Hoher List observatory .
