0711 / Cycling is a German cycling team based in Stuttgart .
history
Under the leadership of the former professionals Olaf Pollack and Julian Rammler , the planning of the Stuttgart team began in summer 2012 . The name was intended to remember the Stuttgart team founded by Winfried Holtmann in 1990 , from which the T-Mobile professional cycling team emerged the following year . The focus and the team philosophy were placed on the development of young cyclists, ideally from the Stuttgart region. In 2013 the Austrian bike brand Simplon started its first season in the U23 national cycling league .
In the 2014 season, the team is registered as a Continental Team in the mass sprint on the sixth stage of the Tour of China I , newcomer Tino Thömel ensured the team's first international victory.
For the 2016 season, the team was renamed Christina Jewelry Pro Cycling after the new main sponsor, the Danish company Christina Jewelry, which previously supported the Christina Watches team . Organizationally, the team stayed at home in Stuttgart and continued to drive under a German license. The new captain was Stefan Schumacher , who drove for Christina Watches from 2012 to 2014. Furthermore, the company switched from Simplon to the Belgian bicycle manufacturer Reven . The highlight of the season was the victory in the overall classification of the Tour of Morocco by Stefan Schumacher.
After Christina Jewelry withdrew as a sponsor, the team started the 2017 season as 0711 Cycling ; the name should be used to express the connection to Stuttgart, whose telephone code is 0711.
