15 meter tape

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The frequency range from 21.0  MHz to 21.45 MHz is called the 15-meter band . It belongs to the shortwave range . The name is derived from the approximate wavelength of the area.

Propagation conditions

The propagation conditions of the 15 meter band are very dependent on the number of sunspots . During the sunspot minimum, there are only short band openings during the day in the summer months; during the winter time, there can even be total failures that can last for several days. All the more, at maximum solar activity, supported by low attenuation, very long distances can be bridged even with low power. Atmospheric disturbances have no effect on the belt.
