The 23-centimeter band is the frequency range from 1.240 GHz to 1.300  GHz . It is in the microwave spectrum . The name is derived from the approximate wavelength of this frequency range. This is why this frequency band is also known as the 24 centimeter band .

23 centimeter amateur band

On July 14, 2017, a Troposcatter - SSB connection was established as a range record over 2662 km between south-west England and Gran Canaria .
