9 centimeter tape

The frequency range from 3.400 GHz to 3.475  GHz is called the 9-centimeter band . It is in the microwave spectrum . The name is derived from the wavelength of this frequency range.

The 9-centimeter band cannot be used for amateur radio in all CEPT countries. It is not allowed in Spain , as commercial services such as WiMax and mobile networks in the 5G standard use this frequency band exclusively.
