13 centimeter tape

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As a 13-centimeter band is called the frequency range from 2.300 GHz to 2.450  GHz . It is in the microwave spectrum . The name is derived from the approximate wavelength of this frequency range.

13 centimeter amateur band

The first earth-Venus-earth connection was established by radio amateurs on the 13 cm tape in 2009 . In the HAMNET , the 13 cm tape is mainly used for user access. In general, amateur radio is planned worldwide in the frequency range from 2300 MHz to 2450 MHz. In Germany, however, only the frequency range from 2320 MHz is assigned to amateur radio.

ISM frequency range

In the 13 cm range there is also a frequency range for ISM applications between 2400 MHz and 2500 MHz . In this frequency range there is a sub-range from 2400 MHz to 2483.5 MHz for WLAN .
