(1580) Betulia is an asteroid of the Amor type that on 22 May 1950 by Ernest Leonard Johnson , from the Union Observatory ( observatory code 078) in Johannesburg was made, discovered.
Betulia is named after the first name of his wife, Samuel Herricks, an engineer and astronomer who studied the orbit of this asteroid.
