Extraction and presentation
2,6-Dimethylmorpholine with a high proportion of the cis compound is produced by cyclizing diisopropanolamine (1,1'-iminobispropan-2-ol) in the presence of sulfuric acid.

use
2,6-Dimethylmorpholine is used as an intermediate in the production of other chemical compounds (for example tridemorph ). It is also used as a stabilizer for chlorinated solvents.
