The 2004/05 season of the men's 2nd volleyball division was the thirty-first edition of this competition.

2nd Bundesliga North

VV Humann Essen became champions and promoted to the 1st Bundesliga . The runner-up Oststeinbeker SV also rose. SSF Fortuna Bonn and Telekom Post SV Bielefeld were relegated.
