action
Los Angeles in 2048. Sapper Morton has a fit of hysterics. He washes his face and leaves the building.
In a narrow alley he is molested by three men whom he ignores. At a market he meets the girl Ella and her mother. He gives Ella the book The Power and the Glory by Graham Greene and recommends that she read it. It is one of his favorite books. He says goodbye to Ella and goes to a shop where he wants to sell leeches to the owner Sultan . Sultan offers him much less money than Sapper needed to cover his expenses. Reluctantly, however, he started trading. When he is about to leave the market, he sees Ella and her mother being molested by the men who had previously stood in his way. He furiously attacks her, showing his almost superhuman strength. Apparently he killed some of the attackers. The bystanders look at Sapper in horror. He takes his bag and leaves the crime scene without a word.
He accidentally loses papers with his address. A witness takes this and informs the LAPD about a criminal replicant.
