action
In Los Angeles in 2036, entrepreneur Niander Wallace is allowed to present his request to the magistrate to produce a new generation of replicants in recognition of his achievements.
After the attack in 2022 , the production of replicants is prohibited. Wallace is cautioned by the committee that his request is illegal and not open to debate. The entrepreneur points out that the earth is dying and replicant labor is badly needed. In addition, his new replicants are no longer dangerous to humans. They would only live as long as the customer paid for them. You would never rebel. They would just obey. The committee is unimpressed.
To prove his testimony, he orders the replicant accompanying him to choose a weapon. The replicant smashes a glass and cuts his face with a shard. Then the replicant is asked to choose between Wallace's life and his own. The replicant then cuts his throat. As the magistrates take note of this in shock, Wallace speaks again about the implications of the decision that must be made that day.
