Pierre Gill

Pierre Gill (* 1964 in Montreal , Québec ) is a Canadian cameraman and director .

Life and accomplishments

Pierre Gill lives in Montreal. There he attended the Collège Jean de Brébeuf , where he won seven prizes from 1982 to 1984. He then studied at Concordia University , where he received four other awards between 1984 and 1987. He made TV commercials and then films that have won awards for Gill's cinematography.

In 1997 he received a Gémeaux Award , the Québec counterpart to the Gemini Award , for the miniseries Marguerite Volant . In 2000 he received a Prix ​​Jutra for best cinematography in Memories Unlocked ( Souvenirs intimate ). In 2001 he received the ADF Cinematography Award at the Festival Internacional de Cine de Mar del Plata for the dramatic youth film Lost and Delirious . In 2005 he was nominated for the Gemini Award for The Last Casino . The American Society of Cinematographers presented him with an ASC Award in 2004 for the biographical film drama Hitler - The Rise of Evil .
