action

The main character of the film is David Wozniak, a 42-year-old failure who has made it no further in his life than the delivery driver in his father's large butcher shop. Because he is in debt, he tries to earn money with a small hemp plantation , but, like almost everything in life, he fails. One day Wozniak learns from a foreign lawyer that he is the father of 533 children. The reason: At a young age, he had donated semen several times for minor services in a special clinic under the pseudonym Starbuck. The foreign lawyer tells Wozniak that 142 of his 533 children have filed a class action lawsuit against him because they want to find out his identity.

But Wozniak is lucky: his best friend is a lawyer and takes on the case. At Wozniak's insistence, he should have the complaint dismissed. But that's not as easy as expected. In the course of the legal dispute Wozniak has to deal with his children and the more he learns about his offspring, the more father feelings he develops for them.

criticism

“David Wozniak gives the father from afar, and he feels comfortable with it. His tour of discovery through the world of his children is also the most beautiful part of the film, because the film unfolds such a wit and such warmth that it effortlessly wraps the audience around its finger. […] Although towards the end it gets a little bit sugary and everything drifts a little too easily to the heart-warming resolution. But it doesn't matter. You can't be angry with this film any more than with your hero, even if both have their faults. They both mean well deep down. "
