Events
- The Persian great king Dareios I from the Achaemenid dynasty had a ship bridge built over the Bosporus for his campaign against the Scythians and crossed to Thrace . The bridge is being built under the direction of the Mandrocle of Samos .
- Artaphernes is appointed satrap of Ionia by his brother Dareios around the year 513, with the residence of Sardis .
