Haílton Corrêa de Arruda (born April 26, 1937 in Recife , Brazil , called Manga ) is a former Brazilian soccer goalkeeper.
Career
society
His goalkeeping career began in 1956 with Sport Recife . From 1959 to 1969 he played for Botafogo FR (RJ). In 1969 he joined Nacional Montevideo in Uruguay and was active there until 1974. During this period he won the Uruguayan championship four times with the "Bolsos" in 1969, 1970, 1971 and 1972. Internationally, he was successful with the club in the Copa Libertadores in 1971 and in the World Cup that year. He also won the Copa Interamericana with his teammates the following year . In 1974 he scored a goal-to-goal goal for the Montevideans against Racing. He then moved to Internacional Porto Alegre in the same year , where he played until 1977. 1978 then followed a station each in Campo Grande (Matto Groso) and at Coritiba FC . From 1979 to 1980 he was in the ranks of Grêmio Porto Alegre . In 1981 he went to Ecuador , where he guarded the goal at Barcelona SC Guayaquil until 1982 .
"Manga" is the Brazilian player with the most appearances in the Copa Libertadores .

He was part of the Brazilian national team at the 1966 World Cup in England .
