Adreno

Adreno is a family of multimedia processors from Qualcomm originally developed by ATI Technologies (ATI) as Imageon and sold by AMD to Qualcomm in 2008 . The name is an anagram of Radeon . The Adreno processors provide graphics acceleration and other multimedia capabilities for mobile devices such as cell phones and organizers .

Adreno is only used in Qualcomm's Snapdragon System-on-a-Chip .

A free graphics - driver named freedreno for Linux is using reverse engineering written. A direct rendering manager based on this was added with Linux kernel version 3.12.
