Interior of the Abarth 695 Biposto (racing equipment)

The Abarth 695 Biposto is a car model based on the Fiat 500 and sold under the Abarth brand . The vehicle is a street-legal derivative of the racing version Abarth 695 Assetto Corse with the corresponding alignment. The addition to the name “Biposto” indicates the reduction to two seats.

After the 695 Biposto was first presented at the Geneva Motor Show , it went on sale at the end of 2014. The 2014 annual production is sold out. The Biposto is only available in Performance Gray matt. In Germany the car costs from 39,900 euros.

technology

The Biposto is equipped with a 1.4 liter turbo gasoline engine ( T-JET ) with 190 PS (140 kW). This has a maximum torque of 250 Nm at a speed of 3000 rpm. The engine is equipped with a Garrett GT 1446 turbocharger and a charge air cooler located behind the front apron. A manually shifted, synchronized five-speed gearbox is also standard. A so-called dog-ring transmission derived from racing is available for an additional charge . It can be shifted without using the clutch . The basic equipment also includes a limited-slip differential , four-piston caliper brakes from Brembo and a titanium twin-pipe exhaust system with valve control from Akrapovic. Further equipment details are ABS , ESP , MSR , hill start assist and a tire pressure monitoring system .

Chassis and brakes

The chassis consists of a MacPherson axle with a stabilizer at the front and a torsion beam axle with a stabilizer at the rear. The Extreme Shox shock absorbers with sport springs are adjustable in height. The Brembo brake system has internally ventilated, perforated brake discs with a diameter of 305 mm and a thickness of 28 mm as well as fixed four-piston brake calipers with sports pads. Solid brake discs with single-piston calipers are used on the rear axle. The electric power steering has a sport mode. The car weighs 997 kg empty (according to ISO standard 1176 including full tank and driver).

Performance

The car takes 5.9 s to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h. The top speed is 230 km / h. The fuel consumption is given by the manufacturer as approx. 6.2 l / 100 km. The CO 2 emissions is 145 g / km CO 2 -Effizienzklasse is F .

Racing equipment

For racing, an aluminum bonnet and other equipment packages are available for an extra charge (see below). Otherwise, the Abarth 695 Biposto shows the optical adjustments expected on sporty vehicles, which include bumpers and radiator grille, side skirts and wheel arches, and include a rear wing . The basic equipment includes 18-inch sports bikes with 215/35 tires. In addition, a device for digitally recording the driving dynamics data , bonnet locks and door handles made of titanium as well as various aluminum, carbon and titanium applications inside are available. The entire body design comes from Zender . The panes in the doors are optionally made of polycarbonate and are permanently inserted; Openings with matching transparent sliding surfaces let in some fresh air if necessary.

In addition, the vehicle requires the owner to be willing to compromise when it comes to everyday usability and comfort . The titanium roll cage (with safety net) and the four-point belts that run through the back of the racing seat shells made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (optional) leave no room for a back seat. To reduce weight, the air conditioning , sound system and even xenon and fog lights have been omitted.

695 Rosso Officina

It is not an official special model. The car was made in a small series of 99 pieces by Abarth and delivered to Ferrari dealers. There is no official price list, but many dealers offer their models for € 44,900.

In addition to the standard equipment, the Rosso Officina comes with CFRP panels on the instrument panel, doors, seat shells and gear lever as well as the paint color "Rosso Corsa". A serial number in the interior and a certificate of authenticity are also included.
