Abdulkadir "Abdul" Özgen (born September 8, 1986 in Stolberg ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

In 2006 the striker moved to the second team at Alemannia Aachen . Due to personnel concerns on the offensive, Özgen moved up to the professional squad after the winter break. He made his Bundesliga debut on March 31, 2007 against VfB Stuttgart when he came on for Laurențiu Reghecampf in the 88th minute . Overall, he came to two short Bundesliga appearances for Alemannia in the 2006/07 season . After that, Özgen usually played again for the second team of Alemannia. In the second division game at 1. FSV Mainz 05 on March 22, 2009, he scored his first goal in the second division with the first ball contact after being substituted on . For the 2009/10 season he received an engagement in the Aachen professional squad.

For the 2010/11 season Özgen moved to Kayserispor in Turkey. Özgen has been under contract with Bucaspor since February 1, 2011 , for which he scored 14 goals in 30 games in the Turkish 2nd division in the 2011/2012 season. He then moved to the 1st league for Sivasspor on July 1, 2012. For the second half of the 2012/13 season he was loaned to the second division team Samsunspor . In the summer of 2013 Özgen returned to Sivasspor and was kept in the squad by the new head coach Roberto Carlos . After he had only come to a league assignment until the winter break, he was loaned to the second division club Manisaspor in spring 2014 for the rest of the season .

At the end of the season Özgen returned to Sivasspor and then moved to the second division Şanlıurfaspor . In the 2015/16 winter transfer period, he moved to Adana Demirspor in the TFF 1st Lig . With the end of the contract in summer 2016, Özgen and his teammate Burak Çalık were signed by league rivals Balıkesirspor .

For the second half of the 2018/19 season, Özgen moved again to Samsunspor (TFF 2nd Lig), where he played briefly in 2013. There he scored six goals in 16 games and took part in the promotion play-offs. But after the season his contract was not extended and he has been without a new club since then.
