Christian Abdul Hadi Hoffmann

Christian Abdul Hadi Hoffmann (* 1948 in Berlin as Christian H. Hoffmann ; † January 19, 2015 ) was a German convert to Islam and deputy chairman of the Muslim Academy in Germany

Hoffmann was a graduate economist and studied English and German . From 1974 to 1995 he was a public relations and art advisor for the CDU . He had been a Muslim since 1989 . In 1997 he left the CDU. Hoffmann most recently worked as a freelance consultant, primarily for companies from the Islamic world.

On a website of the Egyptian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs , based in Cairo on the Al-Azhar , he is listed as Deputy Director of the German-Islamic Institute (DII) for Scientific and Cultural Cooperation eV in Celle .

He was a member of the Board of Trustees at Cambridge Muslim College .
